Pet Corner – To Give or not to give
The Monmouth County SPCA is in dire need of people willing to adopt a cat(s). The heartbreaking truth is that they have a record 500 cats in need of a loving home. PLEASE, consider bringing one of more of these sweet kitties into your family. All SPCA adopted cats are spayed or neutered, have all their shots, have been checked thoroughly to be medically sound and the adoption fee, which includes all those services is a low $60. There’s even a two for one offer while the numbers are so high. PLEASE, PLEASE, consider these beautiful new friends. Stop by the shelter and tell them about the kind of pet personality you like and they’ll help you find the right one. Mozart, Joule and Clipper are brothers who were rescued from a terrible hoarding cruelty situation in Highlands. The three of them sleep all piled up on top of one another, very cute! |

Abandoned and Traumatized Abandoned by her owner, Butterscotch then had to suffer through complications and multiple procedures from her spay surgery. Yet this poor, stoic cat remained gentle and loving. Now completely healthy, but frightened by the busy shelter, Butterscotch longs for a quiet home and so desperately deserves a break. |

A lover not a fighter Gladiator is a friendly cat who can’t get enough petting or enough cat treats. Found in Marlboro after being beaten up by another cat, Gladiator has become a staff favorite. He has FIV+ but is asymptomatic. Won’t you open your hear to this gregarious, easy-going guy? |
Local Pet Happenings
Gift wrapping for donations
MCSPCA Volunteers will be gift wrapping for donations at the Grove in Shrewsbury and Brook 35 Plaza in Sea Girt for the homeless and needy animals waiting for their forever homes. It’s every Saturday and Sunday in December from 12-4pm from now until Christmas.
Have Your Pet’s Photo Taken with Santa
Come and have your pet’s photo taken with “Santa Claws” at PetSmart in West Long Branch, Saturdays and Sundays 12/12 &12/13 and 12/19 & 12/20. Petsmart will donate a portion of the proceeds to the animals at the MCSPCA.
